My life story includes:
- ending alcohol & drug abuse,
- overcoming financial devastation, bankruptcy, & homelessness,
- avoiding the collapse of my marriage,
- surviving the death of two infant children, and
- recovering from two open-heart surgeries.
I’ve embraced life through these journeys as well:
- backpacked through Europe, Africa, Canada, Mexico, and Hawaii,
- spoke Italian with Pope John Paul II in Vatican City,
- played basketball with Michael Jordan,
- drove a NASCAR racecar at Chicagoland Speedway,
- honored as the Clinical Site Supervisor of the Year and,
- entertained and educated as a key-note speaker at conferences.
- raised two amazing and accomplished children.
- had my picture taken with my family and the Stanley Cup.
Every chapter of my story has shaped me into the person & counselor I am today and I am eager to help others navigate their own heaing path.
